Expansion 2: Traders and Builders

This expansion adds 20 goods tokens and 24 additional landscape tiles including 9 with Wine, 6 with Corn, and 5 with Cloth symbols matching the goods tokens.

1. Placing a Tile

Whenever you or another player completes a city featuring goods tokens, the player who completed the city (by placing the last tile) takes the depicted goods tokens on each city tile from the supply.

This can be any player, and who has control of the city has no impact on this step. The player receives one goods token from the supply for each corresponding symbol in the city. It does not matter if the player who completed the city had any knights in the city, or if any knights were present in the city at all*It is possible that a Dragon killed all of the meeples in a large city, then, the next player completes the city but has no meeples to claim it. Zero points are scored for the city, but the player who completed it still gets the Goods Tokens.; it is always the player who placed the last tile that receives the goods tokens from that city. Place your collected goods tokens faceup in front of you for scoring at the end of the game.

3. Scoring

Goods tokens during final scoring at the end of the game.

During final scoring, the player who has collected the most of each type of goods token (Wine, Grain, or Cloth) is awarded 10 points. In the case of a tie for a type, each tied player receives 10 points.

  Additional Actions

The goods tokens through a twist on Meeple Management. Do I want to place a tile to possibly join you for the scoring of a city, or do I want to close your city so that I get the Goods Tokens and possibly score up to an extra 30 points at the end of the game!
